WRITING AND PRINT

Walter krochmal

My work as a theater artist and translator lead me inevitably to writing. A good translator becomes a good writer after years and years of discipline. Careers in the arts also require constant promotion and fundraising, and these in turn revolve around writing.

For the theater I’ve written comedy, experimental, site-specific and sketch revue forms, including award-winning original works. To promote these works I've had to learn effective communications in all media. From my work in the non-profit sector, I've learned grantwriting. I've written academic studies, institutional evaluations, film catalogues, press kits and current events, restless spirit that I am. I've acquired technical skills and rigor from this range of activities, while remaining active in the arts, theater World Music and cinema.

The additional services I can provide in this sector include creative writing, editing and proofreading. 2016 brings me into the publishing arena with my first full-length book, which I guarantee you’ll want to read. Stay tuned, as they say in radio!
